Reassurance through the night — for the person in your care, and for the people who love them.

The hours after dark can bring particular challenges — the risk of a fall when no one is there, disorientation during the night, or simply the unsettled feeling of being alone. Overnight care ensures that a trusted, calm presence is always there.

FAQ

Common questions

Honest answers about overnight care.

What is the difference between sleeping and waking nights?

A sleeping night care professional is on hand but sleeps; they will wake for alarms or calls. A waking night care professional stays awake throughout and provides active support. We help you decide which is right.

Will my loved one have privacy overnight?

Completely. Our overnight care professionals are unobtrusive. They are present when needed, absent when not. Your loved one's privacy is entirely respected.

Where will the care professional sleep?

For sleeping nights, we will discuss sleeping arrangements with you during the free home visit — a spare bedroom is ideal but we work with what the home allows.

Can overnight care be combined with visiting or respite care?

Yes. We often combine overnight care with daytime visits, respite, or live-in cover to build the right round-the-clock arrangement.

Get in Touch
