Remain at home. Remain independent. Remain yourself.

Home holds far more than furniture and familiar rooms. It holds independence, memory, routine, and a sense of self — and with live-in care, none of that has to be given up.

IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Is Live-in Care right for your family?

For many families, the most important question is not whether residential care is appropriate — it is whether it is truly necessary. In many cases, live-in care is also more cost-effective than residential care.

A good fit if

  • You want to remain at home with dedicated support
  • Your loved one has more complex needs than visiting care can meet
  • Continuity of routines, privacy, and home comforts matters most
  • You are weighing up live-in care against a care home

Consider other options if

  • You need several carers present at once for very complex needs (see 24-Hour Care)
  • You only need short, planned cover for a family carer (see Respite Care)
  • Your needs are light and predictable (see Visiting Care)

FAQ

Common questions

Honest answers about live-in care.

Is live-in care more expensive than a care home?

In many cases, live-in care is more cost-effective than residential care — particularly for couples or where complex needs would attract a premium in a care home. We will always be transparent about costs and provide a clear breakdown after your free home visit.

Will my loved one lose their privacy?

No. Our live-in care professionals are chosen for their calm, respectful nature. Your privacy, space, and routines are always respected. Live-in care is an addition to life at home — not an intrusion.

What happens at night?

A live-in care professional is on hand during the night but typically sleeps. For people who need active overnight support, a 24-Hour Care arrangement with multiple carers may be more appropriate — we will advise on what is right for your situation.

What if the match isn't right?

Your comfort and confidence in your care professional is non-negotiable. If the match does not feel right, we will find a better fit.
