Personal Promise Home Care was founded by Sharlean Campbell — a Registered Manager with 15 years of hands-on experience in the care sector — and one consistent belief: that every person deserves the same thoughtful, unhurried attention she would want for her own family.

How do I know this is the right decision?

Taking the first step towards care — whether for yourself or someone you love — is never easy. You do not have to have everything figured out before you call us. There is no commitment, no obligation, and no rush.

Will my loved one always have the same carer?

Yes — and this matters deeply to us. We build a small, dedicated team of familiar care professionals around each person we support. Through our no-stranger policy, everyone who visits your loved one will have been properly introduced beforehand, so there are never any unexpected faces at the door. A familiar, trusted face is not simply a preference — it is the foundation of care that truly makes a difference.

How can I be confident the care professional is trustworthy and well prepared?

Every care professional we employ is selected first and foremost for their values and character. Every candidate goes through a robust recruitment process before they ever enter anyone's home. Once appointed, all of our care professionals are trained in-house to the highest standard, with ongoing training throughout their time with us. Every care professional holds an enhanced DBS check and is directly employed by us — never through an agency.

What if something does not feel right?

You can always speak to us directly. Our Registered Manager personally oversees every care arrangement and is never more than a phone call away. We will always make time to listen, to talk things through, and to find the right solution together. We uphold the Duty of Candour — we will always be open and honest with you, even when the conversation is a difficult one.

Will visits feel rushed?

Never. Every visit is a minimum of one hour, and during our initial assessment we will work with you to determine the right duration for your loved one's individual needs. Meaningful, attentive care cannot be hurried — and we will not attempt to hurry it.
