Why Personal Promise Home Care Was Founded

Personal Promise Home Care was founded by Sharlean Campbell, who serves as both the Nominated Individual and Registered Manager. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in the care sector, Sharlean’s journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to compassionate, values-led professionalism. After helping lead services that achieved CQC "Outstanding" ratings, she wanted to create a care service that reflects the values that matter most—compassion, dignity, continuity of care, and the time to build meaningful relationships. Personal Promise was founded on one simple belief—"If the care we provide is not good enough for our own family, it is not good enough for those we support." For us, care is not just a profession; it is a promise to support people with kindness, respect, and genuine compassion.

I founded Personal Promise Care after spending more than fifteen years working in the care sector, a journey that has shaped both my experience and my values. Throughout my career, I have seen how important compassionate, relationship-led care is in supporting people to live safely and confidently in their own homes. I have also learned that great care is built on trust, honesty and integrity, both with the people we support and with their families. After helping lead services that achieved a CQC Outstanding rating, I wanted to create a care service that reflects the values that matter most to me — compassion, dignity, continuity of care, and the time to build meaningful relationships.
